Ultrasound

An ultrasound is a powerful diagnostic tool that is used to create a real-time image of a pet’s body, revealing important information about internal processes such as the circulatory, skeletal and gastrointestinal systems. This composite also helps to identify a disease, blockages, and internal injuries.

This process is painless for your pet, but it often requires sedation and/or anesthesia because your pet must remain completely still during the ultrasound. Our staff at West Hills Veterinary Centre monitors every patient who undergoes anesthesia, to ensure a safe procedure.
