Puppies!

So, you just took home a happy, energetic, loving, curious new puppy. This is an exciting time for you and your family—and us, too! We would love to meet your new puppy.

It’s very important to make sure your new pal gets started off on the right paw. Please schedule an exam with West Hills Veterinary Centre so we can not only welcome them into our family but also so we can make sure that they are healthy.

We can provide guidance and support for you in order to acclimate your puppy to your life. During their first exam, we want you to ask us any and all questions you may have, specifically regarding:

  • Health issues
  • Behavioral issues
  • House training
  • Immunizations
  • Exercise
  • Nutrition
  • Lifestyle
  • And much more!

For that first exam, we please request that you bring your puppy on a leash and bring paperwork and/or all medical records you may have as well as a fresh stool sample that is less than four hours old.

Their initial exam will include:

  • Complete, nose-to-tail physical exam
  • Internal parasite screening and deworming
  • Nutritional counseling
  • Development of a vaccination program
  • Behavior, housetraining and exercise recommendations
  • Recommendations for controlling and preventing parasites

For more questions or if you’d like to set up an appointment for your new puppy, please call us at 252-438-7163 or schedule an appointment online today!
