Dr. Heather Beveridge grew up in coastal North Carolina, where she spent time working with wildlife on the outer banks. Growing up with horses, her vet taught her a lot about animal care, which turned into a passion, with her first job being an assistant in a mixed-animal family practice. After finishing school at NCSCU-CVM, she came to us to specialize in orthopedics because she liked that we were a family-oriented practice.

Dr. Beveridge currently has a pony named Lena, a cat named Donnie and two shepherding Border Collies named Happy and Dory, who come into the office to lend helping paws. Happy, appropriately named, will launch himself into your arms for kisses!

When Dr. Beveridge isn’t hanging out with her pets or bettering the lives of animals, she enjoys running, shepherding, riding horses and fishing. She is also a very skilled artist in the mediums of drawing, painting and, most recently, wood burning!
